Kent Gingerbread Festival

In our fourth Kent Gingerbread Festival we had over 60 completed maps returned to SoDelicious Homemade bakery which we considered a great success! Each completed map received a special treat as a reward for participating.


(Based on Popular Vote from the maps handed in. See photos below.) 

First Place: Baker... Amy Bocompani and her sister won …. $75.00 their delightful dog house was hosted by JJ Grogans..

Second Place: Baker... Christine Short won... $50.00 for her pink ginger mansion hosted by Gifford’s Market.

Third Place: A TIE!!!  Baker... Dave Fairty won $30 for his ginger village and peaceful log cabin hosted by Back Country Outfitters and Annie Bananie Ice Cream; AND Baker... the Villager gang for their ideal winter scene filling their entire front window! They also won $30.00.

Honorable Mention for creativity goes to:

Lindsey Kerr and her Hobbit House, hosted by Richard Lindsey Booksellers and Dick & Charlotte Lindsey;
Candie Fredritz and her mystical bird house hosted by Tea and Dreams;
Kent Center School Student Council's team effort of a pristine church hosted by Kent Memorial Library; 
Kathy Dolan and her Minion House with neat LED lights hosted by Panini Cafe.

A Prize of $25.00 to each was awarded to each of the Honorable mention winners

We would like to thank The Village Barns for sponsoring the fest.SoDelicious Homemade Bakery for offering prizes to the visitors that played the riddle and The Kent Chamber of Commerce for helping to make it happen.
